The touch calibration is not aligned correctly during the mini-setup on an Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC) when you upgrade to Windows Vista

SYMPTOMS

When you try to upgrade the operating system to Windows Vista, the touch calibration is not aligned correctly during the mini-setup on the following Ultra-Mobile PCs (UMPC):
  • Origami T700 from Amtek
  • eo UMPC v7110 from TabletKiosk
  • SmartCaddie from PBJ Incorporated

CAUSE

This issue may occur if linearity calibration and tilt calibration are not run on the device before the operating system is upgraded to Windows Vista.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, run linearity calibration and tilt calibration on the device before you upgrade the operating system to Windows Vista.
