Error message when you try to install multiple language packs at the same time in Windows Vista Enterprise: "80070008 ERROR_NOT_ENOUGH_MEMORY"

SYMPTOMS

When you try to install multiple language packs at the same time in Windows Vista Enterprise, some languages may not install. When this problem occurs, event log entries may be logged that resemble one of the following:

8007000e ERROR_OUTOFMEMORY

80070008 ERROR_NOT_ENOUGH_MEMORY

If you try to install the language packs again, Setup reports that there are no valid language packs in the directory.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when Component Based Servicing (CBS) runs out of memory while you try to install the language packs.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, restart the computer. Then, install the language packs again.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, install fewer language packs at the same time. The number of language packs that you can install depends on the computer's memory. This problem does not occur when you install 5 to 10 language packs at the same time.
