An incorrect cell is selected when you click to select a cell in a ListView common control in Windows Vista

On a computer that is running Windows Vista, an application uses the ListView common control. In the application, you reduce the width of a column so that another column takes the position of the reduced column. When you then click to select a cell in the ListView common control, an incorrect cell is selected.

This problem does not occur in earlier Windows operating systems.

This problem occurs because of an error in the Comctl32.dll module. When you reduce the width of a column, another column's icon appears in the position of the reduced column. When you then click to select a cell, Windows Vista returns the position of the reduced cell instead of the position of the selected cell.
