SYMPTOMS

You install Windows Vista or Windows 7 and then restart the computer. An event that resembles the following is logged in the Application event log.

On a Windows Vista-based computer:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: ESENT
Event ID: 215
Description:
WinMail (3924) WindowsMail0: The backup has been stopped because it was halted by the client or the connection with the client failed.

On a Windows 7-based computer:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: ESENT
Event ID: 215
Task Category: Logging/Recovery
Description:
WinMail (2388) WindowsMail0: The backup has been stopped because it was halted by the client or the connection with the client failed.

RESOLUTION

You can safely ignore this event. No problem occurs with Windows Mail.
