Some LED lights on a USB keyboard do not correctly show whether the keys are on or off after I resume a Windows Vista-based computer from sleep or from hibernation

Problem description

Consider the following scenario:
  • You are running a Windows Vista-based computer that is connected to a universal serial bus (USB) keyboard.
  • You resume the computer from sleep or from hibernation.
When they work correctly, LED lights on the keyboard show whether the NUM LOCK key, the CAPS LOCK key, and the SCROLL LOCK key are on or off. However, in this scenario, these lights remain turned off regardless of whether the keys are on or off.
