Stop error message on a Windows Vista-based computer when you unplug the network cable: "STOP 0x000000D1 DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"

You access the network from a Windows Vista-based computer. When your wireless network status is changing or when you unplug the physical network cable, the computer may crash. Additionally, you may receive a Stop error message that resembles the following:

When the network status changes, the TCP/IP stack removes the IP interface. At the same time, the Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) assumes that the IP interface always exists during a packet injection. Therefore, if the IP interface is not available during a packet injection, the computer may crash.

Hotfix information

Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
