Error message when you try to match a set-top box code with a Windows Media Center infrared remote control in Windows Vista: "Code Limit Reached"

You try to match a cable set-top box or a satellite set-top box together with a Windows Media Center infrared remote control in Windows Vista, and the infrared codes are not matched correctly to the set-top box. Then, you receive the following error message:

This behavior occurs if the limit of 31 tries has been reached when you try to match your set-top box to the infrared table in the Windows Media Center remote control in Windows Vista. If you restart the computer, and you try to enter the infrared code again, you only have one more opportunity to match the infrared code to the set-top box. If the infrared code is again incorrect, you must restart the computer to try another set-top box infrared code.

To change this behavior, contact the set-top box vendor to obtain the correct infrared code that matches the Windows Media Center infrared remote control.
