On a computer that has been configured to use Low Voltage Differential Signal (LVDS) video, Windows Vista Setup does not continue when the computer is restarted

You install Windows Vista on a computer that has been configured to use Low Voltage Differential Signal (LVDS) video. However, after you do this, Windows Vista Setup does not continue when the computer is restarted for the first time.

This problem occurs because Windows Vista virtualizes the video BIOS (VBIOS). This can cause the Time Stamp Counter (TSC) to be reset. This behavior may affect the timing of certain physical VBIOSes and the VBIOS interaction with LVDS ports.
