You receive an error message when you try to upload a Visio document to Live Meeting 2007

SYMPTOMS

When you try to upload a Microsoft Office Visio document to a Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 session, you receive the following error message:
You attempted to upload a document, but the feature required to upload the document was not included in the installation of Live Meeting. You can share the document using application sharing or reinstall Live Meeting while running as an administrator. This functionality is not available on 64 bit operating systems.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if the computer is running a 64-bit version of Windows.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use one of the following methods:
  • Import the Visio chart into a blank Microsoft Office PowerPoint presentation. Then, upload the presentation to Live Meeting.
  • Share Visio in the Live Meeting session. Then, display the Visio chart by using the shared application.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in 64-bit versions of Windows.
