A pop-up window that indicates that a duplicate file name has been selected may not appear as the foreground window when you install the HP System Management Homepage software in Windows Vista or in Windows Server 2008

SYMPTOMS

When you install the Hewlett-Packard (HP) System Management Homepage software in Windows Vista or in Windows Server 2008, a pop-up window indicates that a duplicate file name has been selected. However, the window may not appear as the foreground window.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, use one of the following methods.

Method 1

Click an area that is outside the HP System Management Homepage installation window, and then click the HP System Management Homepage installation window to set the focus to it.

Method 2

Move the foreground window to see the pop-up window behind it.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Start the HP System Management Homepage installation application.
  2. Click Next three times, select Trust by Certificate on the Trust Mode page, and then click Next.
  3. On the Trusted Certificates page, click Add File.
  4. In the Select File dialog box, locate a certificate file, and then click Open.
  5. Repeat step 4. Select the same certificate file.
In this scenario, a Duplicate Certificate Filename window appears. However, it does appear as the foreground window.
