After you disconnect the HDMI audio device, you open the Sound Playback dialog box. Then, you may notice one of the following problems:
CAUSEThis problem occurs because of the
legacy behavior of the HDMI audio device driver in which the driver
does not signal device removal when the device is removed from the
computer. STATUSMicrosoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
