SYMPTOMS

When you connect a Bluetooth device to a computer that is running Windows Vista, no incoming request notification is displayed. This behavior occurs even though the Display notification of incoming request setting is enabled in the Bluetooth options.

CAUSE

If the Display notification of incoming request setting was disabled at least one time since the computer was started, and then this setting was re-enabled, the system does not recognize the re-enabled setting until you restart the computer.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, restart the computer.
