SYMPTOMS

If you create a Dial-Up Networking connectoid but do not establish a successful connection, the user name and password entries are not the same as those originally entered the next time you try to connect.

CAUSE

This behavior is by design. The user name and password entries for an unsuccessful connection are not cached in the password file.

RESOLUTION

Change the user name and password and try to establish the connection. If the connection is established, the user name and password will be saved.
