How to Clear the Telnet MRU Connect List

The Telnet tool included with Microsoft Windows maintains a most- recently-used (MRU) list of host names entered in the Remote System/Host Name box. You can use the MRU list to easily select commonly accessed Telnet locations. This article describes how to clear the MRU list.

To clear the Telnet MRU list, delete the following values from the

HKEY_USERS\.Default\Software\Microsoft\Telnet

registry key

where <X> is any number from 1 to 8.
