SUMMARY

Publisher 97 is designed to make it easy for you to create good looking Web sites. As much as possible, Publisher tries to make Web pages that appear the way the publication appears in Publisher.

There are, however, some features of HTML that Publisher does not support. If you want to add these features to a Web site created in Publisher, you must either open the Web site in an HTML authoring program, such as Microsoft FrontPage, or use a text editor such as Notepad to add the HTML code manually.

MORE INFORMATION

This list contains the major HTML features that Publisher does not support:
  • Marquee (animated) text
  • Background sounds/music
  • Inline video
  • HTML Frames
  • Scripts and forms
If you want to create a Web site that uses these features, use the HTML code created in publisher in an HTML authoring program to add the special effects manually.

APPLIES TO
  • Microsoft Publisher 97 Standard Edition
