SUMMARY

If you install Publisher on Windows 95, the final Setup screen has an Online Registration button. If you install Publisher on Windows NT, this button does not appear.

Also, if you re-run Publisher setup under Windows 95, the first Setup screen has four buttons:
  • Add/Remove
  • Reinstall
  • Remove All
  • Online Registration (this only appears if you haven't already run the Online Registration Wizard.)
On Windows NT, the Online Registration button will never appear.

MORE INFORMATION

The Publisher Online Registration Wizard will not run on Windows NT. When you run Setup, the setup program checks to see if you are running Windows NT. If you are, Setup omits the Online Registration button.

Note: One of the "billboard" graphics that appears on the background of the Setup window does advertise Online Registration. This graphic will always appear, even if you have Windows NT.

APPLIES TO
