SYMPTOMS

When you configure Internet Mail and News to use settings from the Internet Configuration Utility, changes made to the Internet Configuration Utility settings are accepted by Internet Mail and News, but the changes are not reflected in the Preferences settings for Internet Mail and News.

STATUS

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post more information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
