Mastering Series: Run Time Error 3043 Disk or Network Error

When you attempt to start one of the programs listed at the top of this article, you receive the following error message:

You do not have a Temporary (\Temp) folder on your hard disk.

To resolve this problem create a folder on the root of your hard disk named "Temp". For example, from a MS-DOS command prompt, type the following and press ENTER: Where C:\ is your hard disk drive letter.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem with the products listed at the top of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
