SYMPTOMS

When you view a news message with attached graphics in the Preview pane, you may receive the following error message if Internet Mail and News cannot successfully load the graphics preview:
Unable to display image.ge

CAUSE

When you select a message with attached graphics, the message "Preparing to display image" is displayed. If the image cannot be displayed, no error message is generated. If you then select another message with attached graphics, the error message "Unable to display image" is displayed. The "Preparing to display image" message is not cleared before it is overlaid with the "Unable to display image" message, causing at least three characters of the first message to be displayed at the end of the second message.
