SYMPTOMS

The Extract Binaries command may seem to work even when a news message does not contain an attachment. You are prompted for a location for the binary file, and the progress bar flashes. If you check the destination folder, no binary file is placed there.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Internet Mail and News version 3.0a for Macintosh. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
