Servers List in the News Window Is Stretched

SYMPTOMS

When you click Preferences on the Edit menu, click News under Mail and News, type and delete characters in the Account Name box, and then click OK, the list that appears when you click the Servers button on the toolbar is stretched as if spaces were added to the name of the server. The Account Name looks correct in the Preferences dialog box.

Clearing the Account Name box does not resolve the issue.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Internet Mail and News version 3.0a for Macintosh. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
