FP98: What Are Themes?

A FrontPage theme consists of unified design elements and color schemes for page elements, including bullets, fonts, images, navigation bars, and so forth.

FrontPage ships with over fifty themes. You can customize the appearance of each theme using one of the following three options:

• Vivid Colors. Select this option to apply brighter colors to text and graphics.
  
  Active Graphics. Select this option to animate theme components.
  
  Background Image. Select this option to apply a textured background.

You can apply themes to an entire Web or to individual pages in your Web to give your pages and navigation bars an attractive and consistent appearance. When you apply a theme, FrontPage will copy certain files and graphics to the _themes folder of the current Web on your Web server. The following files are used for themes:

• Themes.css. This file controls the font attributes that are applied in a Theme.
• Color0.css and Color1.css. These files control the color when you select the Vivid Color option.
• Graph0.css and Graph1.css. These files control different graphics when you select the Active Graphics option.
