This article describes how to change the default file location in
Microsoft FrontPage Express. FrontPage Express is a Web authoring and
publishing add-on component for Internet Explorer.
When you open or save a file in FrontPage Express, the default file
location is set to <drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft FrontPage Express\Bin,
where <drive> is the drive on which the Program Files folder is located.
To change the default file location in FrontPage Express, follow these
steps:
| 1. | Right-click Start, and then click Explore.
|
| 2. | Double-click the Programs folder, and then double-click the Internet
Explorer folder.
|
| 3. | Right-click the FrontPage Express shortcut, click Properties, and
then click the Shortcut tab.
|
| 4. | In the Start In box, type the following line for the new default
file location, and then click OK
<path>\<folder>
where <path> and <folder> specify the new default folder for FrontPage
Express files. For example, type:
c:\my documents |
NOTE: If you use a folder name that contains spaces or exceeds eight
characters in length, enclose the path in quotation marks.
