Customize the Folder Wizard Does not Use FrontPage Express

The Help for Microsoft Frontpage Express states in the "Introducing Microsoft Frontpage Express" section, second paragraph: However, if you try to use the wizard to customize a folder, the wizard starts the Notepad program instead of Frontpage Express.

To work around this problem, associate Hypertext Template files with FrontPage Express. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Double-click My Computer, and then click Folder Options on the View menu.
2. Click the File Types tab.
3. In the Registered File Types box, click HyperText Template, and then click Edit.
4. Click New, type edit, and then click Browse.
5. Double-click Program Files, double-click FrontPage Express, double- click Bin, and then double-click the Fpxpress.exe file.
6. Click OK, click Close, and then click Close.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Frontpage Express. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
