SUMMARY

The Microsoft PowerPoint 98 Macintosh Edition help file incorrectly states that you can include animations when saving a presentation in the HyperText Markup Language (HTML) format. When saving as HTML, PowerPoint 98 converts each slide to a graphic. This graphic cannot contain any animation effects. The ability to save as a PowerPoint animation object is only available in the Windows version of PowerPoint.

MORE INFORMATION

PowerPoint 97 for Windows includes the Microsoft PowerPoint Animation player. The Animation Player is an add-in that integrates with your Web browser to play animated PowerPoint presentations over the Internet and in real-time. The ability to save as your presentation as a PowerPoint animation object is incorporated in the HTML Wizard, which is not available in PowerPoint 98.
