When You Synchronize Your H/PC the Wrong E-Mail Program Starts

SYMPTOMS

When you synchronize your Handheld PC (H/PC) with your desktop computer, the wrong e-mail information service may start.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the e-mail information service you want is not the default in Microsoft Exchange.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, use any of the following methods:

  • On the desktop computer, open the e-mail program you want to use before you synchronize the desktop computer with your H/PC.
  • Configure the default profile in Microsoft Exchange to include the information service you want to use. For information about how to configure e-mail profiles, please see the following articles in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
