When you use the Value Pack Installer or Custom Installer to install
additional shared components for Microsoft Office 98 Macintosh Edition, the
following message may appear:
No installation was necessary. The files to be installed are already on your hard disk, or are not needed for your hardware setup. CAUSE
This problem may occur when one of the following conditions is true:
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Rename the Shared Applications folder to Shared ApplicationsIf you renamed the Shared Applications folder to a name other than "Shared Applications," rename the folder "Shared Applications" again. To rename the folder, follow these steps:
