SYMPTOMS

When you print from Internet Explorer version 4.01 to a Novell NetWare server print queue, the print job is printed, but the job may not be deleted from the print queue.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, upgrade to Internet Explorer 4.01 Service Pack 1 (SP1). Internet Explorer 4.01 SP1 is available from the following Microsoft Web site:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.mspx/ (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.mspx/)

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.01.

MORE INFORMATION

The Print Status box and the Novell Pconsole tool show print jobs printed from Internet Explorer 4.01 as being spooled to the printer. The Print Status box and Novell Pconsole tool show print jobs from other programs as being spooled to the printer and then deleted from the print queue. The original Internet Explorer 4.01 print job continues to stay in the both queues. Quitting Internet Explorer deletes the print job from the queues. This problem may occur with different printers using different Novell print queues.
