SYMPTOMS

When you send e-mail to a contact who has multiple e-mail addresses, Microsoft Outlook always uses the primary e-mail address.

RESOLUTION

Right-click the e-mail address inserted in the "To" line and on the shortcut menu, select the second or third e-mail address.

To Send a Message to a Contact's Secondary E-mail Address

  1. In the Inbox folder, click New Mail Message on the Actions menu.
  2. Click "To", click to select a contact, click "To->" and click OK.
  3. Right-click the default e-mail address inserted in the To line and on the shortcut menu click to select the address that you want.
