"pmadmin set instance" Resets Unspecified Parameters

SYMPTOMS

When issuing the command "pmadmin set instance", you may find that parameters that you did not specify in the command line will be reset. For example, "pmadmin set instance /ldapserver:servername" will reset the ldapport to 389.

CAUSE

Pmadmin changes all available parameters. Parameters that are not specified in the command line are reset to hard-coded defaults.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, apply the latest Site Server 3.0 service pack.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Site Server version 3.0. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft Site Server version 3.0 U.S. Service Pack. For information on obtaining the service pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
