"Missing switch" Error from "pmadmin set directory" Command

SYMPTOMS

When using the command "pmadmin set directory /id:InstanceID", you may receive the following error message:
Missing switch: DBUsername Subscript out of range

CAUSE

When you run this command against a SQL membership database, PMAdmin always expects to be passed the additional parameters of /DBUsername and /DBPassword, even if you do not intend to change these settings.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, apply the latest Site Server 3.0 service pack.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Site Server version 3.0. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft Site Server version 3.0 U.S. Service Pack. For information on obtaining the service pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
