SYMPTOMS
If you reinstall Windows 98 on a computer that contains multiple monitors,
you may have to reconfigure some monitors after Setup is completed.
CAUSE
The behavior can occur if you are using ATI video adapters. Windows 98
disables Plug and Play functionality for ATI video adapters because they
do not handle Plug and Play correctly.
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, manually set each monitor connected to an
ATI video adapter. To do so, follow these steps:
