Entering Suspend Mode While in Standby Mode Hangs USB Computer

SYMPTOMS

When you are using Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2.1 or 2.5 with Universal Serial Bus (USB) support, your computer may stop responding (hang) if you put the computer in Standby mode and then immediately put the computer in Suspend mode by pressing a function key or closing the lid of your laptop computer.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2.1 and 2.5. This problem no longer occurs in Windows 98. To resolve this problem, install the current version of Windows. For information about the current version of Windows, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
