OL98: (CW) From Field Missing When Message Viewed in Sent Items Folder

NOTE: The information detailed below applies if you have installed Outlook with the Corporate Workgroup/Other option. This option allows you to use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Corporate" if you have the Corporate Workgroup installation.

SYMPTOMS

When sending e-mail with the Internet E-mail information service in the Corporate/Workgroup installation of Microsoft Outlook 98, you may find that the From field is blank when a message is viewed from the Sent Items folder. However, recipients of your messages are able to view this field.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 98.

MORE INFORMATION

This behavior is scheduled to be corrected in the next release of Outlook.
