If you record a narration for a slide show that has inserted sounds
(or sounds that play as part of an animation effect), you do not hear
the inserted sounds over the narration when you run the slide show.
This effect does not apply to sounds associated with slide transitions. If you have slides whose transition effects include sounds, you hear those sounds along with the recorded narration. MORE INFORMATION
There are three basic types of sounds that Windows can play:
When you record a narration for your presentation, that narration is stored as digitized recorded audio (.wav). When you run your slide show, the narration audio is the only digitized audio that you hear. NOTE: You can still hear slide transition sound effects because they are played before the narration starts. If you run your slide show with narration turned off, you can hear the other sounds. | Article Translations
