To configure your Windows CE-based device to dial your desktop computer if your desktop computer is running Windows CE services version 2.2, use the following steps:
  1. On your desktop computer, click Start, point to Programs, click Microsoft Windows CE Services, and then click Mobile Devices.
  2. On the File menu click Communications.
  3. On the communications tab, click the COM port you are using to connect to your Windows CE device in the COM Port box.
  4. Click OK, and then close the Mobile Devices folder.
  5. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to Communications, and then click Dial-Up Networking.
  6. On the Connections menu, click Dial-Up Server, click the Serial Cable tab, and then click No Caller Access.
  7. Click the Modem tab, click Allow Caller Access, and then click OK.
  8. To connect to your desktop computer, create a Remote Dial-Up connection on your Windows CE device with an Internet Protocol (IP) address of 192.168.55.100. For information about how to do this, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
