AutoComplete Feature Does Not Complete Previous Command Line

SYMPTOMS

When you begin to type a previously typed command line in the Address box in Internet Explorer, the AutoComplete feature may complete only a portion of the command line.

CAUSE

This problem can occur if the command line contains spaces. The AutoComplete feature completes only the portion of the command line up to the first space.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, type the entire command line in the Address box.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
