After you upgrade from Microsoft Windows 95 to Windows 98, you may receive the following error message when you start your computer:
Native Audio Initialization Error. The Wave Task Manager (NSPMM.DLL) is not available. WAVE service will be disabled. CAUSE
This behavior can be caused by the existence of the Intel Virtual Audio Device (which was installed as part of The Intel Video Phone product).
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, remove or reinstall the Intel Video Phone software, or disable the device.
