Error Message Viewing Help Files When Ratings Are Enabled

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to view Internet Explorer 3.01a Help, you may receive the following error message:
Sorry! Content Advisor will not allow you to see this site.
Authorization failed: Site unrated.
If you enter the correct supervisor password and then click OK, the preceding error message may re-appear. If you do not enter a supervisor password and continuously click OK, the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) help file may start properly. Also, if you click Cancel when you receive this error message, you may receive the following error message:
You are not permitted to view this page

The attempt to load 'file://Help.htm file location' failed

CAUSE

This issue can occur if the Recreational Software Advisory Council (RSAC) ratings have been enabled in Internet Explorer and the "User can see sites which have no rating" feature has been disabled.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, configure Internet Explorer so that you can view Help:
  1. On the Edit menu, click Preferences, and then click the Ratings tab.
  2. Click Options, click to select the User can see sites which have no rating check box, click OK, and then click Supervisor Password.
