When you insert an HTML, JavaScript, or Visual Basic Scripting Edition component, or add page elements (such as paragraph or line breaks), you do not see the format marks or placeholder icons that indicate you have
inserted these elements on your page.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when the Show All command on the standard toolbar is not selected (not depressed).
RESOLUTIONMethod 1: Use Reveal TagsOn the View menu, click the down arrow to reveal all the commands on the menu. Click Reveal Tags.-or- Use the hot key for the Reveal Tags command: Ctrl+/ Method 2: Use the Show All commandOn the Standard toolbar, click Show All to turn on the formatting marks for the page.-or- Use the hot key for the Show All command: Ctrl+* MORE INFORMATION
The Reveal Tags command will show most major HTML tags in the body of the active document. This will not show all tags; however, it will show: - <P> tags - <table> tags - <B>, <I>, and <U> tags - JavaScript - VB Script - Inserted HTML The Show All command in FrontPage is designed to give you a visual representation of code or formatting that is not visible at design-time. The following items will appear as an icon in FrontPage if Format Marks is turned on: - Paragraphs - Line Breaks - JavaScript - VB Script - Inserted HTML
