PPT2000: Slow or Medium Flash Animations Only Appear to Flash Fast

If you set the Custom Animation settings of an object to Slow or Medium Flash and you have the Hide After Animation option selected, the animations will appear to flash at the fast setting.

The object is hidden as soon as the animation begins.

Turn off the Hide After Animation option by following these steps:

1. On the Slide Show menu, click Custom Animation.
2. Click the Effects tab.
3. From the After Animation list, click Don't Dim.
