OL2000: Differences Between Outlook and Outlook Express On This PageSYMPTOMS
After you start Outlook Express, log on using an identity, and then quit Outlook Express, the next time you start Outlook Express it may use the same identity.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you quit Outlook Express without logging off.
RESOLUTIONOutlook Express 5To work around this behavior, log off before you quit Outlook Express 5:On the File menu, point to Identities, and then click Logoff identity where identity is the identity name you used when starting Outlook Express 5. Outlook Express 5.01To work around this behavior, log off before you quit Outlook Express 5.01:On the File menu, click Exit, and then click Logoff identity where identity is the identity name you used when starting Outlook Express 5.01. This behavior is by design.
