After you upgrade to Microsoft FrontPage 2000 on a computer running
Windows NT 4.0, authoring a Web as an Administrator may result in
permission errors. In most cases, the errors occur when you are saving a file in a newly- created folder. For instance, the following error may occur when saving a file to the newly created folder new_folder:
Server error: Cannot create folder "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\New_Folder\_vti_cnf" CAUSE
The error originates from performing the following setup steps:
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, use the FrontPage Client to remove the Creator
Owner group from the permissions of the Web or grant the Creator Owner
group Administer permissions for the Web. To do this, use the following
steps:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions.
