When you attempt to start an online broadcast in PowerPoint, you may receive the following error message:
Can't start NetShow Server due to missing server options.

CAUSE
This error message occurs when the NetShow Program has been deleted from the NetShow server, or if PowerPoint loses access to the NetShow Program on the server.
THINGS TO TRY
To use the Online Broadcast server feature, the following software must also be present on the server system:
To test whether this is true, place the Sample.asf file into the C:\Asfroot directory on the NetShow Server. On the Presenter computer, click Start, click Run, and type: mms://servername/sample.asf
The Sample.asf file should play in Windows Media Player. If your NetShow server is not installed or configured properly, online broadcasting does not function properly. In this case, consult your NetShow documentation.
Port ConflictsThis error message may also occur if the HTTP or MSBD ports that are set for the .asd files are not accessible. To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
