PPT2000: Cannot Find Blank Presentation.POT

If you attempt to modify the default presentation template in Microsoft PowerPoint 2000, you may not be able to locate the default presentation template, Blank Presentation.POT, anywhere on your computer.

The blank presentation defaults are stored internally in Microsoft PowerPoint 2000, making a default presentation template unnecessary.

You can create and modify the Blank Presenation.POT, manually. If create it manually, this file will behave as it did in previous versions of Microsoft PowerPoint.

1. Open an existing presentation or create a new one.
2. Change the presentation to suit your needs.
3. On the File menu, click Save As.
4. In the Save as type box, click Design Template.
5. In the File name box, type Blank Presentation, and then click Save.
