XL2000: Invalid Page Fault Saving Shared Workbook That Contains Conditional Formatting

When you save a shared workbook that contains conditional formatting, you may receive the following error message: If you click Details, you receive an error message similar to the following and Microsoft Excel quits.

This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:

• The workbook is shared.
  
  -and-
  
  
• More that one user has the workbook open.
  
  -and-
  
  
• One user cuts and pastes a cell that contains a conditional formatting rule, and then saves the file.
  
  -and-
  
  
• A different user attempts to save the file.

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
