Standby Mode Causes General Protection Fault in Attwave.drv

SYMPTOMS

When you place your computer in Standby mode, you may receive the following error message:
MSGSRV32 caused a general protection fault in module ATTWAVE.DRV at 0001:00000077.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if your AT&T Winmodem has resource conflicts.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, modify the resources of the AT&T Winmodem so that it no longer conflicts with other devices.

Once the resource conflict is resolved, Standby mode does not work until you restart the computer.
