SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade to Windows 98 Second Edition with Cubase Virtual Studio Technology (VST) version 3.6 by Steinberg Technology installed, you may receive the following error message:
A general protection fault occurred in module Asiomm32.dll.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you are using a sound card with an OPL3-SA3 chip set that has a Windows Driver Model (WDM) driver installed.
