Toolbars Command Is Unavailable on the Taskbar

SYMPTOMS

When you right-click a blank area on the taskbar, the Toolbars command may not be displayed.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you upgrade Internet Explorer versions 2 or 3 directly to Internet Explorer 5. NOTE: The Toolbar command is installed with the Active Desktop Update included in Internet Explorer 4.0.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, uninstall Internet Explorer 5, install Internet Explorer 4.0 with the Windows Desktop Update, and then install Internet Explorer 5.

NOTE: If Internet Explorer 4.0 is already installed, you can add the Windows Desktop Update.
