FIX: HTML Help: CHM Problems on Removable Media Drives

SYMPTOMS

When a CHM is on removable media, such as a CD-ROM or Iomega Jazz disk, but not a floppy disk, either of the following occurs:
  • When you try to display a topic, the result is "Navigation Cancelled."
  • The full-text search does not work. All searches result in "No Topics Found."

RESOLUTION

To resolve these problems, download the latest version of HTML Help from the following Web site:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. Both problems were corrected in version 1.22 of HTML Help.
